Royston Little Voices is an arts group for children aged between five and nine year's old. We aim to inspire and engage children in creative music and drama activities.
Autumn Term 2011
Royston Little Voices will begin again on Tuesday 4th October, 4.30pm til 5.15pm at Royston Methodist Church.
Our group benefits from being made up of three experienced and local music practitioners with a wide of experience across this age range.
Little Voices meet each term for six workshops. They are split into two age groups, reception and year one and years two and three. Usually the workshops run around a theme which covers a broad range of musical styles and traditions.
Our aim is to provide a balance of singing, playing of tuned and un-tuned percussion instruments, listening to music as well as movement, dance and drama.

At Monkey Music, we know that music is fundamental to a pre-school aged child's development. Our progressive and educational four stage curricula are designed to nurture a lifetime of music: from rock 'n' roll to ding-dong, classes are a 'good fit' for each separate age group. By the time our little monkeys 'graduate', they have a sound base from which to build a musical future.... have a look!
Our classes are rich, nourishing and great fun! When carers write to us, they will often say how “their best friends have come from their days at Monkey Music” … Read more about how Monkey Music began and why we believe that music can help your child reach their full potential.

kids yoga: a great start – creative, physical, calming + fun
Yoga is for everyone - you're never too young (or too old) to start. Our kids yoga classes are a wonderful way to increase children's co-ordination, self-awareness, confidence and self esteem while they stretch and strengthen their bodies. Using yoga, children can learn to relax, concentrate and be gentle in a fun and creative environment.

In Ki-Aikido there is no aggression, tension or competition. Classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and may be practised equally by men and women of any size, age or ability. The purpose of the practice is to learn to co-ordinate our mind and body through enjoyable exercise which will enhance the quality of our lives.
In today's society many people have a highly pressurized lifestyle which can cause tension, fear and worry. This can create physical ailments such as backache, headache, migraine and mental strain.
We can learn through the Ki exercises to obtain a calm mind and relaxed body, which gives us a practical method of dealing with many problems in daily life.
We practise every Monday, with the children's class from 6.45pm to 7.25pm, and the youth/adult class from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. If you would like to come along to watch, you're very welcome, but come a few minutes earlier so we can chat before the class begins.
