We are here to help in whatever way we can: teaching the language, sharing conversation in French, reading and discussing books, enjoying French food and wine, watching French cinema, making trips to France et encore...

The Alliance Française is also keen to involve the many people from France and from French-speaking countries around the world who live in and around Cambridge and to serve as a meeting point for anyone who shares our love of France.

KINOFILM

Location: M3 5BZ

Kinofilm are a short film agency and film community in Manchester. We produce a bi-annual European Short Film Festival (the next one to take place November 2012) and hold monthly short film events in Manchester.

The evening short film event known as KINO SHORTS is a film screening of about 8 short films and we have interviews and Q&A.s with the filmmaker and produce after the screening. Following the screening the event continues as a networking event, giving filmmakers, producers, writers, actors the chance to meet, exchange ideas and form collaborations and partnerships.

WE also hold bi-monthly screenings of local and North West independent low budget features, similar format as the shorts nights. Normally, the feature is supported by a short film.

Also, we hold a monthly vintage film night, were we screen on 16mm the films of yesteryear. Vintage comedy and animations from 1930s - 1950s, Pathe News Reels and Educational oddities.
