Fenland Scrapstore was officially opened in February and since then they have helped support many schools, pre-schools, community groups and individuals by supplying great materials for arts and crafts, DIY and home use.
All the materials Fenland Scrapstore stocks are donated by businesses and people who have excess waste, all of which would usually be thrown away into landfill sites, things such as fabrics. Fenland Scrapstore can take these clean, safe and reusable scrap materials to sell on and a very small price to those who can really benefit from them.
Fenland Scrapstore aims to target these five areas:
Community – to support the Fenland community and offer them access to high quality materials for arts, crafts, DIY and home use. To make these materials available to all people, on all incomes and in all areas of Fenland.
Environment – to lessen the impact of commercial and domestic waste on the environment, to ensure less waste goes to landfil
