Cambridge Women & Homelessness Group

Location: CB4 3EE

To provide good quality temporary accommodation to six women without dependents, to provide help and support during and after their stay at Corona House, to provide permanent accommodation for 3 ex residents of Corona House in our shared house. To provide continuing support for ex-residents through an outreach project and to campaign for better housing rights for women. Office staffed at irregular hours weekdays. Answerphone at other times.

Cambridge ME Support Group

Location: CB4 3EH

Providing support to people with ME (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and their carers. Meetings every 2 months - see group website for details. Hilltop Carers' Centre, Primrose Street Cambridge, CB4 3EH. Also produce 3-4 newsletters per year, and run a postal library.

14-19s Young Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Service CPFT

Location: CB5 8DW

Offers timely psychological assessment and interventions for young people.

This service is normally accessed via your General Practitioner (GP). If you are not already known to this service but feel it might be relevant to your own needs, or those of someone you care for, then please bring this service to the attention of your doctor (or the doctor of the person you care for).

The Young IAPT Service is a pilot project that offers timely psychological assessment and interventions for young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
The project is not intended to replace existing services, but to complement those that already exist.

The service is being run in a number of surgeries in Cambridgeshire.
Types of difficulties appropriate for this service:

Mild to moderate depression

Mild to moderate anxiety

Deliberate self-harm

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Mild eating problems

Mild to moderate post-traumatic stress disorder

We accept referrals f

221 Coping With Divorce & Separation

A self-help group to help people suffering from the trauma and anguish of divorce or separation. Six week courses held weekday evenings 8.00pm-10.00pm and Coffee Spot drop-in centre on the first Saturday of each month (see website for further details).

Acer Ward, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon CPFT

Location: PE29 6NT

Inpatient acute care service for adults.

This service is normally accessed via your General Practitioner (GP). If you are not already known to this service but feel it might be relevant to your own needs, or those of someone you care for, then please bring this service to the attention of your doctor (or the doctor of the person you care for).

Acer Ward is a 20-bed acute admission unit located at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. Special facilities include an intensive care area, an ECT suite. The accommodation is of a high quality and in domestic style. The ward multi-disciplinary team works closely with the community mental health teams, Park House Day Service and the IST.

The Acer Ward team also works closely with DASH (drug and alcohol team) to provide detoxification admissions and day assessments for medication tolerance. The ward also has a crisis resolution treatment team.

Acute Care Services (North) CPFT

Location: PE3 9GZ

Peterborough and Fenland Acute Care Service consists of two acute in-patient wards and the crisis resolution home treatment team (CRHTT).

This service is normally accessed via your General Practitioner (GP). If you are not already known to this service but feel it might be relevant to your own needs, or those of someone you care for, then please bring this service to the attention of your doctor (or the doctor of the person you care for).

We are an integrated service catering for the needs of clients between the ages of 17-65 years experiencing mental health problems. Home treatments are offered as an alternative to hospital admission. Crisis assessment and interventions are offered for people who present at A&E and other agreed referral pathways. Referrals may come from other community services or GPs.

Support for individuals aged 18+ with drug or alcohol problems;
Support for friend and family members of individuals misusing drugs or alcohol
